TAMPA ELECTRIC:

If you have Tampa Electric you can earn rebates for replacing your old, inefficient air conditioning system with a new, energy-efficient heat pump that meets our energy-saving standards. This program is available to all residential customers.

How does it work? When you replace an existing electric resistance, natural gas or oil heating system with a high-efficiency heat pump, you may qualify for a $275 REBATE. When you replace an existing heat pump with a high-efficiency heat pump, you may qualify for a $125 REBATE.

Do any restrictions apply? A MINIMUM ENERGY RATING (SEER) of 14 is required to participate. The maximum supplemental strip heating shall not exceed two (2) kilowatts (kW) per nominal ton. On a system less than 2.5 tons, a five kW heat strip is acceptable.

PROGRESS ENERGY:

Resistance Heat: When you replace an existing electric resistance heat with a high-efficiency heat pump, you may qualify for a $250 REBATE if you replace with a 14 SEER heat pump (heat strip 7.8kw per sq/ft). You can qualify for a $350 REBATE if you replace with a 15 SEER (heat strip 8.0kw per sq/ft) .

Heat pump: You may qualify for a $100 Rebate if you replace your existing Heat Pump with a 14 SEER heat pump (heat strip 7.8kw per sq/ft) and a $150 REBATE if you replace with a 15 SEER (heat strip 8.0kw per sq/ft) .

Along with the rebates above, when you install a high efficiency heat pump you will see much LOWER ELECTRIC BILLS EVERY MONTH
